Terry is deeply interested in supporting individuals through emotional difficulties with warmth and genuine care, offering a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their inner experiences at their own pace. Drawing from her extensive professional background in corporate and organizational settings prior to transitioning into the counselling field, she is able to relate closely to the emotional and identity-related challenges faced by working adults and professionals.
Terry has experience working with adults, students, and working professionals who are facing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma and PTSD, self-worth concerns, and workplace challenges. She is particularly attentive to clients’ personal histories and emotional patterns, and works with sensitivity to trauma backgrounds while supporting clients to better understand themselves and their emotional responses.
Her therapeutic approach is grounded primarily in Schema Therapy, helping clients explore long-standing emotional patterns, unmet core needs, and the ways early experiences shape present-day thoughts, feelings, and relationships. She integrates elements of CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) when appropriate, with strong emphasis on emotional safety, collaboration, and self-compassion in the therapeutic process.
